SAN FRANCISCO CELEBRATES 20 YEARS AS A CEDAW CITY
Hilton on Union Square - Continental Ballroom

CEDAW, the United Nations Convention to Eliminate all forms of Discrimination Against Women, is an international bill of rights for women and girls. In 1998, San Francisco became the first city in the world to adopt a local CEDAW ordinance.
The CEDAW Women’s Human Rights Awards honor leaders and organizations who use their public roles to advance the rights of women and girls. Awards are given for leadership demonstrated in diverse sectors of the community including education, entrepreneurship, government, health, labor, media and philanthropy.
Proceeds from the event benefit programs and initiatives that stop violence against women, eliminate human trafficking, and promote gender equity.
Doors open for check-in at 10:30 am . We look forward to celebrating with you at the CEDAW Awards Luncheon!
